The MYSTFREE was designed and patented by Tim Doherty, founder of Doherty Machine, specifically for the TwinCam 88.

In any TwinCam 88, in good mechanical condition, the MYSTFREE completely eliminates oil blowby emitted from the engines breather system, which in most cases ends up on the rider or side of the bike.

The MYSTFREE utilizes a two chamber design. The majority of the oil is separated in the first stage lower chamber. As the oil mist moves up against the walls of the lower chamber the majority of the oil content is stripped off and returned via the stock bleed holes in the bottom of the chamber. Its kind of like when the wind pushes damp air through plants and their leaves collect the dew. Any remaining oil introduced into the second chamber is returned and evacuated on the down stroke of the piston through two small vacuum ports located in the MYSTFREE body and is returned to the rocker box cavity. No oil residue ever reaches the raised air outlet located on the top front portion of the MYSTFREE.

Installation is simple and requires only the removal of the six bolts securing each rocker box top. The gas tank does not need to be removed for installation. The gas tank only needs to be propped up to allow access to the rear rocker box cover. Installation time is 60 - 90 minutes.
